Gene Kim is a multiple award-winning CTO, researcher and author, and has been studying high-performing technology organizations since 1999. He was founder and CTO of Tripwire for 13 years and has written six books, including The Unicorn Project (2019), The Phoenix Project (2013), The DevOps Handbook (2016), the Shingo Publication Awardwinning Accelerate (2018), and The Visible Ops Handbook (2004-2006) series. Since 2014, he has been the founder and organizer of the DevOps Enterprise Summit.

Jon Rooney is the SVP of Product and Solutions Marketing at New Relic. Before New Relic, Jon was the VP of Marketing at Domino Data Lab and the VP of Product Marketing at Splunk, where he held several roles from 2012 through 2018. Earlier in his career, Jon held product management and product marketing roles at Microsoft working on  ASP.net, Visual Studio, Silverlight and Azure. Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, Jon graduated with a BA in English from the University of Pennsylvania and received an MBA at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
