New Relic Launches Affiliate Program

Rails organizations can generate revenue for recommending popular RPM™ application management tools; nine organizations sign up as charter members.

San Francisco - November 20, 2008

New Relic, Inc., the leading provider of Ruby on Rails application performance management solutions, today announced it has created the New Relic Affiliate Program. Under the program, Rails development companies, hosting services and Rails user groups can receive cash fees for referring new users of RPM, the leading Rails application performance management tool.

Eight companies and one Rails community user group have already joined the program as charter affiliates. The charter affiliate companies are Atlantic Dominion SolutionsCarbonFiveCore ContinuumDesignkitchenForaker DesignNew LeadersRailsware LLC, and Relevance. The Utah Ruby Users Group has also joined the program.

The New Relic Affiliate Program is designed for application development firms, systems integrators, VAR’s, Rails user groups, application hosting services and any other organization with contacts within the Rails community. Once approved and enrolled in the program, the affiliate can promote RPM to their customers or members. Affiliates are paid a fee equal to a portion of the subscription fees paid to New Relic by those who become subscribers as a result of the affiliate’s participation. The affiliate can retain the fee or rebate it to the end customer. Affiliates will be able to provide free 30-day subscriptions of RPM Gold to their customers during their customer engagements to facilitate the optimization of the customers’ Rails applications. Affiliates will also be eligible to use RPM Gold for use on their own internal applications.
