New Relic Founder and CEO Lew Cirne to Address Digital Transformation At Dublin Web Summit Sessions, Where the World’s Tech Elite Gather
---
Software analytics company New Relic today announced that Founder and Chief Executive Officer Lew Cirne will speak in multiple sessions Nov. 4 and 5 at this year’s Web Summit Technology Conference in Dublin, Ireland, one of the top global gathering places for Internet technology with an expected attendance of 20,000 people from over 100 countries. The overall theme connecting Cirne’s keynote and his fireside chat will be the rising importance of the customer experience for nearly every business in an era of digital transformation. In addition, Cirne will lead one of the roundtable discussions at the executive-only track, Enterprise X Summit.
The Web Summit has quickly grown from 500 attendees as a local meetup in 2010, to a three-day event hosting the industry’s most influential technology leaders, such as Elon Musk, CEO and CTO of SpaceX and Tesla Motors, to Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter, to musician, venture capitalist and businessman Bono of rock band U2.
This year, Web Summit will showcase over 500 world-renowned speakers on 10 stages, with topics including Digital Marketing, The Internet of Things, Enterprise, and Builders. The conference will bring to light the new ideas that are changing our daily lives, from the people shaping the future of the world.
Lew’s keynote address, titled “Moments Matter” will show how critical good software can be to running a successful business. Later, the same day, in a fireside chat with The Los Angeles Times’ Russ Mitchell titled “Software is the New Storefront,” Lew will discuss how companies can stay connected with their customers as today’s main interactions become more digital, with software at the center of it all.
Lew’s appearance at The Web Summit comes on the heels of New Relic’s recent FutureStack14 conference in which the company announced the acquisition of Barcelona-based Ducksboard, a creator of integrated dashboards for business metrics. At FutureStack14, New Relic also announced several new products and a vision for custom “Data Apps,” designed to allow developers to create custom applications with actionable business data for users of all kinds within their organization. New product announcements included New Relic Synthetics for automated testing through simulated real-user experience; New Relic Browser for code-level visibility of JavaScript applications; Crash Reporting for New Relic Mobile to resolve bugs that cause mobile applications to crash and business-level enhancements to its real-time analytics platform New Relic Insights. In addition, earlier this year, New Relic opened its European headquarters in Dublin.
