Google Cloud Ready
New Relic has achieved the Google Cloud Ready - Cloud SQL designation for Cloud SQL, Google Cloud’s Fully managed relational database service for MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
Google Cloud Ready - Cloud SQL is a new designation for the solutions of Google Cloud’s technology partners that integrate with Cloud SQL. New Relic has collaborated closely with Google to add support for Cloud SQL MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server. This designation recognizes that our solutions have met a core set of functional requirements and have been validated in collaboration with Google cloud engineering teams.
New Relic’s Cloud SQL integration
New Relic’s Cloud SQL integration allows you to understand the health and performance of your Google Cloud Platform Cloud SQL relational database service, giving you insights into the behavior and state of your database instances to ensure they are running optimally, while giving you the ability to troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
Cloud SQL is a fully-managed database service that is used to set up, maintain, manage, and administer MySQL and PostgreSQL databases in the cloud. It offers high performance and scalability, and can be accessed from most applications. For more information on Cloud SQL visit this link.
You need highly-available databases for critical applications, where frequent queries and fast response times are needed. To do so, you need to monitor performance metrics such as CPU utilization, memory and disk I/O. New Relic provides you with real time observability of Cloud SQL, displayed on a unified dashboard. With New Relic, you can get insights into your query performance to identify slow-running queries, pinpoint query execution issues, and optimize your queries for better efficiency. Monitor connection counts to avoid overloading the instance and track and monitor replication lag to ensure data consistency between primary and replica instances.
You’ll want to know when performance metrics exceed acceptable limits, so we’ve given you the ability to set up alerts and notifications based on predefined thresholds.
