Inclusion and belonging are core to who we are and key to the employee experience at New Relic.
We care about the employee experience of each Relic. Everything we do is in service of making New Relic more perfect for everyone.
ESG supports Relics
Our executive team and board of directors have defined key business issues and driven our environment, social & governance (ESG) goals for strategic investments that support all Relics. We’ve also made engagement and belonging a core pillar of our ESG strategy..
Ways of Working
How we work together is key to our success and wellbeing. Our Ways of Working strategy enables us to communicate effectively around the world, collaborate inclusively, and manage our work mindfully.
Culture of listening
In a global tech environment, "listening" can get lost in the noise of meeting quarterly targets. We have multiple avenues to listen to employee’s feedback and activate robust plans to amplify victories and address gaps.
Social impact
Our social impact programs exist to enable Relics to share their skills, time, and resources purposefully.
We've made progress
We’ve created tools to integrate inclusion into everything we do—from hiring and onboarding, to training and development. Our key accomplishments include:
Building a better New Relic training series
Developed a training program that supports inclusion and support of marginalized communities.
Pay equity
Addressed pay gaps race in the US and gender globally.
Development programs
Launched a program designed to support the development of Relics from underrepresented groups.
LeanIn Circles
LeanIn circles are peer mentoring groups designed to help participants grow professionally, build meaningful workplace relationships, and support career development.
Reducing bias
Launched Hiring our Way training to ensure training to ensure inclusion and belonging when selecting and hiring talent.
Human Rights Campaign Foundation Equality 100 Award
Earned Human Right Campaign Foundation’s Equality 100 Award which recognizes best-in-class benefits, policies and practices for LGBTQIA+ people.
Nurturing and supporting communities.
We're doing our part to foster inclusion. For example, we sponsor, participate in, and host events that support community building and engagement.
Providing a sense of belonging
Employee Resource Groups are a huge part of our inclusion and belonging strategy. These employee-led communities offer new connections, team building, and special programming—and they’re open to all.
Women@New Relic is dedicated to providing safe spaces and advocating for the vibrant and diverse community of women at New Relic
Relics of Color seeks to build a caring, engaged, and active community for People of Color at New Relic

The future
In our next chapter, we’re focused on global impact. With a workforce across the world, it is important that our inclusion and belonging efforts reach all parts of our business in all parts of the world.
We’re committed to doing all we can to help our community of employees, customers, and vendors feel empowered to be themselves—to innovate and thrive in their careers and their lives. Looking ahead, and in partnership with our leaders, our Employee Resource Groups, and our multiple stakeholders, we’re upping our inclusion and belonging game—and we hope you’ll join us.
“Everything comes back to the people, to making sure the people feel they are being heard and taken care of.”
