Fynd's unified commerce platform helps businesses launch and expand operations rapidly, offering modular solutions tailored to diverse retail needs. Fynd ensures that retailers can deliver a consistent, real-time service to customers, regardless of scale or demand fluctuations. With infrastructure built for speed, reliability, and growth, Fynd enables businesses to meet customer expectations today while preparing for tomorrow’s expansion.

Recognising the criticality of real-time observability, Fynd turned to New Relic to unify monitoring across its complex ecosystem. Since adopting the platform, the company has reduced Mean Time to Detection (MTTD) from over two hours to between 10 and 30 minutes, optimised latency on key services, and strengthened reliability across its applications. New Relic has also empowered developers with data-driven insights to deliver frictionless and reliable customer experiences.

Ensuring reliability for thousands of businesses

Fynd supports the day-to-day operations of over a thousand brands, where every product search, order, and delivery must run seamlessly. Any slowdown or disruption to the platform can instantly impact storefronts, inventory flows, and logistics networks across its ecosystem. For Fynd, rolling out new features or enhancements is not just about delivering improvements, but also ensuring every change performs reliably at scale in the real-world. Before a single line of new code goes into production, the team must be confident that it won’t disrupt customer experiences or breach strict service-level agreements (SLAs).

With New Relic, Fynd has comprehensive visibility into its release cycle. The platform is a key component during load testing, helping teams identify performance bottlenecks, track fluctuating KPIs caused by new code changes, and assess the potential impact of releases before they reach production. This allows Fynd to confidently ship new features and enhancements faster, without sacrificing reliability and while maintaining trust across its customer base.

“With New Relic, we can detect issues in minutes, even under sudden load. For example, during a recent spike on a major customer’s storefront, we identified the service causing slowness in less than 15 minutes. New Relic gave us early insights to mitigate the impact and keep our systems stable,” said Amboj Goyal,Director of Engineering, Fynd.

Driving global scale with observability

Fynd has relied on New Relic for seven years. During this time the company has built deep expertise in observability and integrated this as a central part of its engineering workflow. As Fynd expands to serve global customers, monitoring critical KPIs such as API latency has become even more crucial. Since requests are currently served directly from India, understanding where delays occur is essential.

With New Relic, Fynd can pinpoint whether slowness is caused by the codebase, servers, or network latency. By combining insights from CDN performance and application backend metrics, teams can isolate the source of an issue and take a targeted action.

While full remediation may take time, New Relic provides the “golden signals” that help Fynd quickly understand what’s impacting performance. New Relic also plays a role when Fynd rolls out new business lines or platforms. They are automatically integrated into the monitoring pipeline, with alerts and metrics in place from the start. This setup gives the team confidence that, whether growth is gradual or sudden, any traffic spikes will be detected quickly and managed without disruption.

“Whenever a new business line is added, we don’t have to worry about how it will scale. If there’s a sudden traffic spike, we know New Relic will alert us right away. That reliability gives us confidence every time we onboard a new platform into our ecosystem,” added Amboj Goyal.

From silos to shared visibility

With many microservices running across its ecosystem, Fynd’s developers once had limited visibility into how their services interacted. New Relic has changed that by mapping service dependencies and showing which components call or rely on one another. This visibility has helped break down silos, allowing developers to understand how their work fits into the larger platform, and why their services are critical to overall performance.

Observability has also become a direct driver of developer confidence. By streaming data even from lower environments, teams can see the impact of their changes early, identify what is working and what is not, and ship faster with fewer surprises. Developers no longer build or release in the dark; instead, they can measure reliability against SLAs, troubleshoot issues in context, and evaluate code stability.

Dashboards play a central role here. Fynd has created platform-wide dashboards, including detailed module-level views for its e-commerce storefront - a system that experiences sharp traffic spikes during sales. These dashboards become a single source of truth, giving teams instant visibility into whether everything is running smoothly or if an issue needs attention. When deeper investigation is required, engineers rely on the flexibility of New Relic Query Language to query specific data points on demand, and to ensure that nothing is missed.

Looking to the future, Fynd envisions its partnership with New Relic as evolving into a data-driven collaboration that unifies observability across its entire technology stack, using real-time insights to accelerate innovation and improve reliability.

“Whenever a new business line is added, we don’t have to worry about how it will scale. If there’s a sudden traffic spike, we know New Relic will alert us right away. That reliability gives us confidence every time we onboard a new platform into our ecosystem."
