We believe that as a leader in the technology space, we have a responsibility to build a better, more inclusive community for the underrepresented engineers, developers, and technical practitioners we serve. That’s why New Relic is hosting BIPOC In Tech, a free event for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) in the engineering and tech community.
BIPOC in Tech will be a place for all identifying Black, Indigenous, and People of Color engineers, developers, and technical practitioners (and tech students who wish to hold these careers one day) to build community, share insights, and uncover ways to advance together as BIPOC in the technology space. The event will also explore, discuss, and celebrate the intersectionality and diversity of all experiences of the BIPOC community, including gender diversity and crossover with other communities who are underrepresented in the tech industry.
The goal is to bring all BIPOC together to support, engage and uplift one another. We’re creating a stage to spotlight powerful voices in the BIPOC community. The event includes a rising community of professionals from multicultural and intersectional backgrounds within tech. We have engaged incredible experts and speakers to lead our programming and share their personal experiences with the greater community. Together, we’ll ensure that BIPOC and allies work with the same goals in order to ensure access, inclusion, and support for BIPOC in Tech. We hope you’ll join the conversation.
