If you’re like me, you’re looking forward to reconnecting with your fellow developers in-person and face-to-face instead of over Zoom! Join me and the rest of the developer relations team, at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on May 17–19 for the ultimate software engineering conference—FutureStack

While there, meet up with us for FutureHack, a 24-hour hackathon that offers you the perfect opportunity to get your hands on the latest New Relic technology. Try out the skills you’ll learn in one of the many deep-dive sessions and hang out with old and newfound friends. We’re here to meet you and help you learn. Developers of any experience level are welcome at this fun, community event—we even invite aspiring developers to join us through our no-code and low-code track option. Members of the New Relic Developer Relations team will be on-hand and ready to help you bring your observability project dreams to life.

Hack to win in these FutureHack categories

If you’ve got an idea brewing already, awesome! No idea what to build yet? We’ll be awarding prizes in the following categories.

Continuous innovation

Automate all the things with New Relic. This track is perfect for data engineers who love geeking out over continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and automating their daily workflows.

The challenge: Build your most impactful automation workflow with New Relic and deploy it to an automation pipeline service. Choose your favorite CI/CD service, and create the most useful workflow utility that leverages the automation data in New Relic One. Share your workflow files and examples of how the automation data is being used in your New Relic dashboards.

Build something amazing

The build something amazing track is perfect for any coders, developers, or engineers who want to build something amazing with any tech stack they choose.

The challenge: Develop your project and use the power of instrumenting with New Relic to supercharge your creation. Choose your technology stack and deliver your most innovative project. Points will be given for New Relic instrumentation with either a New Relic agent or a New Relic OpenTelemetry library.

Community hack

The community hack track is for every open source enthusiast who wants to contribute back to the open source community.

The challenge: Pick an open source project, take on the most interesting issue, and hack on a solution that gives back to your favorite open source projects. Extra points for choosing an open source project from the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF)!
