AlwaysOn Selects New Relic as an "OnDemand Top 100" Winner

Award recognizes innovators that are creating new opportunities in cloud computing and SaaS.

San Francisco - 6. April 2010

New Relic, Inc., the leading software-as-a-service provider of application performance management solutions, today announced that it has been chosen by AlwaysOn as one of the OnDemand Top 100 winners. Inclusion in the OnDemand 100 signifies leadership among peers and game-changing approaches and technologies that are likely to disrupt existing markets and entrenched players. New Relic was specially selected by the AlwaysOn editorial team and industry experts spanning the globe based on a set of five criteria: innovation, market potential, commercialization, stakeholder value, and media buzz.

New Relic and the OnDemand Top 100 companies will be honored at AlwaysOn’s OnDemand event on April 19th, 2010, at Hewlett-Packard’s Worldwide Headquarters in Palo Alto, CA. This two-and-a-half-day executive event features CEO presentations and high-level debates that discuss how the Internet is disrupting the way companies-from small businesses to large enterprises-create, store, distribute, analyze, and take advantage of their mission-critical data.

The OnDemand 100 winners were selected from among hundreds of other technology companies nominated by investors, bankers, journalists, and industry insiders. The AlwaysOn editorial team conducted a rigorous three-month selection process to finalize the 2010 list.

Founded by Lew Cirne, the originator of production web application monitoring, New Relic is a leading SaaS provider of application performance management solutions for Java and Ruby applications. The company’s flagship product, RPM, is fully implemented in minutes and provides 24x7 visibility and code-level diagnostics for web applications deployed on dedicated infrastructures or in the cloud. RPM enables development and operations teams to quickly and cost effectively monitor, troubleshoot, and tune application performance.

"We are very pleased to be counted among the companies providing innovative and effective approaches to delivering essential services," said Lew Cirne, New Relic founder and CEO. "I founded New Relic with the explicit purpose of providing application performance management in a fundamentally new way — with transparent pricing, rapid implementation, and a sales model that doesn’t transfer the cost of the sale to our customers. We appreciate this award and are grateful to the 3,500 New Relic customers that have helped prove that there is another way."
