Software analytics company New Relic, Inc. (NYSE: NEWR) announced expanded efforts in the public sector to help accelerate government transformation.
The New Relic Software Analytics Cloud is now available through Carahsoft Technology Corp.’s government contract vehicles. This distribution allows for U.S. federal, state and local government agencies to streamline procurement of New Relic’s products.
Further bolstering New Relic’s support for the public sector, Joseph Welsh has joined the company as director of federal sales. Prior to New Relic, Welsh spent 11 years at Adobe running its federal business for media products. Before Adobe, Welsh spent 10 years at Oracle running inside sales for federal.
“U.S. government agencies are transforming the way they reach their constituents through digital initiatives,” said Erica Schultz, executive vice president, enterprise sales, New Relic. “We have already seen incredible results from public sector organizations harnessing the power of software analytics and we are thrilled by the opportunity to further that impact through new partnerships, strategic hires and more.”
As the government drives its agencies to transform and digitize to engage with U.S. citizens, New Relic has worked with numerous agencies to support their digital initiatives, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), which proactively monitors performance across several high-profile government websites, including Healthcare.gov, with New Relic’s products helping drive stability and revealing benefits of ongoing improvements to the healthcare exchanges. With New Relic, CMS is helping millions of people sign up for healthcare.

About New Relic Software Analytics Cloud
A multi-tenant, integrated Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform, the New Relic Software Analytics Cloud is designed to enable organizations to understand every customer's experience at a granular level across a vast range of dimensions. Dimensions can be related to performance (timing, errors, crash), user experience (sessions, interactions, pageviews), business outcomes (SKUs, revenue, customer ID), geography (country, zip code, ISP), or even customer-added attributes. Underpinning the New Relic Software Analytics Cloud to make sense of this massive amount of data is NRDB, which is designed to process more than two million events per second. As part of New Relic’s scalable cloud-based architecture, NRDB provides organizations a powerful analytics engine, without organizations having to invest the time and expense to build and maintain their own.
