Dan is a Principal Observability Architect at New Relic, supporting organizations in their journey to drive adoption of best practices in observability and operational readiness. With over 13 years experience in the platform engineering space, in the last few years Dan has focused on OpenTelemetry, where he’s been part of the Governance Committee since 2023. He’s also author of Practical OpenTelemetry: Adopting Open Observability Standards Across Your Organization. In his free time, Dan likes to drum on as many percussion instruments he can get his hands on!
