How New Relic ERGs have come together at the intersection of culture and inclusion

Since beginning my time at New Relic, I’ve found community in the Relics of Color and the Women at New Relic employee resource groups (ERGs). These groups provide a greater sense of belonging for Relics to find representation that reflects their full self. As a Black woman leader in sales, I show up in many spaces with all the intersections of myself. It’s my pleasure and privilege to share how this year’s Black History Month programming and the International Women’s Day Symposium brought Relics globally together for connection, education, and allyship.

Black culture has shaped the world in countless ways, the Relics of Color ERG elected “For the Culture” as the anchoring theme for the programming throughout February. From trivia to book club gatherings, expressions of art to yoga sessions, these ERG-led events provided a mainstage For the Culture to be celebrated throughout Black History Month.

There was space for everyone to tap in where they needed to. With special programming to support the unique experiences of Black Relics, our affinity groups organized impactful connections for Black Girl Magic and Black Boy Joy.

Employee Spotlights

At New Relic we have exceptional Relics that make our culture its own. The employee spotlights of Black Relics showcasing how their culture has influenced their career and the work they do at New Relic was some of the most inspiring parts of all our programming.

Inspiring Inclusion 

The Women at New Relic adopted the 2024 International Women’s Day theme, “Inspiring Inclusion.” This year’s theme is signified by the heart gesture. At the heart of our programming is acknowledging that when we recognize the contributions of women, we have a better world in which to live and work. And as a woman, I know that when women feel included, this inspires them to be their best selves in all aspects of their lives.

Inclusivity was highlighted by our Women at New Relic members sharing what is means to #inspireinclusion.
