New Relic Appoints Masakiyo Furudate as Group Vice President, Head of New Relic Japan
Seasoned enterprise technology leader to lead Japan operations and accelerate market leadership
New Relic, the Intelligent Observability company, today announced the appointment of Masakiyo Furudate as Group Vice President, Head of New Relic Japan. Reporting to APAC sales leadership, Furudate will oversee New Relic’s strategic growth, customer success, and operations in the Japanese market.
As the leader by market share in Japan for seven consecutive years, New Relic has a local user base exceeding 38,000. Over the past 12 months, New Relic Japan increased its domestic workforce by 20% and significantly expanded its investment in the region, including the announcement of a Japan-based data center and a suite of advanced AI capabilities.
Furudate is a distinguished leader with a proven track record in the enterprise technology industry. Most recently, he served as President and Representative Director of Veeam Software Japan, where he established the company as a market leader in data protection. His extensive leadership experience includes senior roles at global organizations including IBM Japan, Microsoft Japan, Red Hat, and F5 Networks.
