August 18th, 10am PT | 1pm ET

New Relic dashboards let you analyze telemetry data across your entire stack, regardless of the source. Dashboards are a flexible way for engineering teams to visualize data however they want by combining pre-made templates, native platform visualizations, custom queries, and more - all in one place.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn advanced dashboard techniques, allowing you to combine your telemetry data across your stack and create custom dashboard views.

Being able to build queries and visualize your data using NRQL and dashboards is a key skill for all observability practitioners. These skills will help you prepare for New Relic certifications like APM Practitioner, Performance Engineer, and Reliability Engineer.

Join us to learn how to:

  • Build custom dashboards to monitor core web vitals.
  • Use Advanced New Relic Query Language (NRQL) to gain valuable insights from your data.
  • Visualize data for all levels of your organization.
  • Utilize CloudWatch metrics, combined with integrated dashboards, and how they can enhance visibility into the performance of key EDA components like Amazon SQS and Amazon SNS.

August 25th, 10am PT | 1pm ET

Maybe you’ve heard about OpenTelemetry (OTel), an open-source, vendor-neutral observability framework, and you have questions: Can I use OTel with New Relic? If so, how do I send OTel data to New Relic? How do I choose between OTel and New Relic agents for collecting data?

In this hands-on workshop, you will get answers to these questions and more.

Join us and learn how to:

  • Instrument a service, send data to New Relic, and configure a collector.
  • View OpenTelemetry data in the New Relic UI and query and interpret OTel data in your own New Relic account.
  • Compare OpenTelemetry instrumentation and capabilities to proprietary agents.

After attending this workshop, you'll be better equipped to make informed decisions about using OpenTelemetry in your environment.
