New Relic, Inc. (“New Relic”) invites all eligible participants to enter New Relic’s Pi Day Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) which will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 11:00am PDT until 11:59pm PDT (the “Sweepstakes Period”). Participants may be eligible to win the prizes detailed below.
How to Enter:
To enter the Sweepstakes series, participants must be a registered member of Twitter with an active account in good standing. To become a member of Twitter, go to www.twitter.com and follow the instructions to create an account. On Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 11:00am PDT, New Relic will tweet a message announcing the Sweepstakes. Participants must retweet the full message from their own personal Twitter account to be entered into the Sweepstakes. A quote retweet will be considered an entry into the Sweepstakes. Entries will be accepted until the Sweepstakes closes Tuesday evening at 11:59pm PDT.
Entries are limited to one retweet per participant. A participant’s entry into the Sweepstakes constitutes acceptance of these Official Rules.
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY TO ENTER THESE SWEEPSTAKES.
Selection of Winners:
On Friday, March 17th, two (2) winners shall be selected at 5:00pm PDT, from a random drawing of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. The two selected winners will be notified by at-mentioning their Twitter handle and will have seven (7) calendar days to respond to New Relic’s Twitter handle.
Participants’ odds of receiving the prizes shall vary depending on the number of eligible entries.
Prizes: Two (2) winners shall receive one (1) Domino’s Pizza gift card, valued at USD $25.00.
Who Can Enter:
The Sweepstakes is strictly limited to legal residents of the contiguous United States and Washington, D.C. who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. Participants are solely responsible for ensuring their participation in the Sweepstakes is lawful. New Relic employees are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. New Relic reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify participants for any reason, including if it is determined that one’s participation in the Sweepstakes is not lawful.
All participants in the Sweepstakes release New Relic, Inc. and its respective employees, officers, directors and shareholders (“Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action including, but not limited to personal injury, death, damage to property or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or use of the prizes awarded from the Sweepstakes.
Limitation of Liability:
Released Parties are not responsible for any claims, damages, expenses, costs or losses to any person or property of any kind arising from or in connection with: (1) typographical or other errors in the printing of these Official Rules; (2) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions or disconnections in phone lines hardware, software, or failure of any email or entries to be received by New Relic due to technical problems, human error or traffic congestion, unavailable network connections on the Internet or any website; (3) unauthorized third party tampering with the Sweepstakes; (4) technical or human error in the administration of the prizes; or (5) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen mail.
If it is determined that any participants were found to use multiple Twitter accounts to enter or participate in the Sweepstakes, such participants will be deemed ineligible to participate and affiliated entries will be automatically disqualified. Any entries generated by a script, computer program, robotic or other automatic means will also be disqualified.
Before claiming their prize, the winner must execute an affidavit and release which verifies their eligibility, allows for them to be announced publicly as a winner of the Sweepstakes and acknowledges: (i) their responsibility for any federal, state and local taxes incurred in connection with the prize awarded and (ii) that New Relic will not be liable for any injuries caused while operating prizes awarded from the Sweepstakes. The affidavit and release form shall require the winner’s full name, address and Social Security Number to accurately report the winnings to the IRS. Failure to completely fill out the form will result in forfeiture of the prizes detailed above and another winner may be selected.
The Sweepstakes is governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California and the forum and venue for any dispute shall be San Francisco, California.
Participants acknowledge that any contact information collected during the Sweepstakes Period will be used for marketing and other internal purposes. New Relic reserves the right to terminate this Sweepstakes for any or no reason and at any time without further notice.
