MarkLogic New Relic plugin monitors MarkLogic by collecting detailed information on MarkLogic server objects and processes through MarkLogic's Management API (http://docs.marklogic.com/REST/management) and displays them in configurable dashboards on New Relic.

The current plugin captures the following MarkLogic component status:
-summary metrics on local cluster, hosts, servers & forests
-detailed metrics on databases, forests, hosts, groups & servers
-summary on requests and transactions
You can create custom dashboards once plugin is installed. Please refer to guidelines on how to monitor MarkLogic better at the following link: http://docs.marklogic.com/guide/monitoring/intro

Install MarkLogic plugin according to the README on github repo. It is recommended to initiate plugin as a background task, run via a scheduler (ex. cron job) or using any other approach appropriate for your environment.
When using pip install approaches, please make sure that the python version and pip version are properly configured and linked in your environment.
