Monitoring Azure Load Balancer with New Relic Infrastructure

Azure Load Balancer watches incoming TCP and UDP traffic from different services, and uses health status to distribute those requests across different instances.

It can also provide an outbound connection for instances placed in a virtual network by keeping a reference between their private IP address to a public IP address.

What you can monitor with our Azure Load Balancer

Available endpoints

Based on probe results you will be aware of the amount of healthy available endpoints.

Bytes count

Summation of the bytes processed by each front-end.

Packets count

As with bytes count, the total amount of packets processed by each front-end.

You need to know what’s happening in your Azure Load Balancer installation

Azure Load Balancer can help smooth out issues when instances run into problems, and our dashboard can give you a better idea of where that process might be causing headaches. You can respond faster with better visibility into the available resources using our dashboard.

Azure Load Balancer performance alerts

Get alerts when your Load Balancer performance is degrading. You can manually set an alert on any of the metrics captured.

For example, set an alert when you start to run low on healthy endpoints.
