Senior Partnership Manager, GitHub

Sana Hussain is a Senior Partnership Manager at GitHub, where she serves on the leadership team for GitHub Education and helps students and educators access the tools they need to shape the next generation of software development. She is an experienced leader and global strategist with 15+ years of experience working across the public, private, and non-profit sectors developing strategic partnerships and identifying innovative solutions to achieve concrete outcomes.

Prior to GitHub, she served as the Director of Business Development at World Business Chicago, where she led business development efforts to grow Chicago’s tech sector and led the tech working group for the Mayor of Chicago’s 10-year economic development plan. From 2009 to 2017 Sana served as a Presidential Political Appointee under the Obama Administration at the White House and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

Sana has a bachelor’s degree in public policy and marketing from Indiana University, Bloomington, and lives in Chicago with her family.
