Eugene Kovshilovsky has been the Senior Vice President of Software Engineering at CarParts.com since August 2019. With over 20 years of combined experience in SaaS (software-as-a-service) and PaaS (platform-as-a-service) applications for a variety of industries—ranging from gaming and computer security to finance, manufacturing, and e-commerce—Eugene has led the development of scalable, high-profile, and quality technology solutions for a number of prestigious companies, including GoDaddy, EnterpriseAlumni, and Cie Games, which was acquired by Glu Mobile. Throughout his career, Eugene has gained a reputation for finding unique, right-fit solutions to hard-to-solve problems, which has been essential in building CarParts.com’s complex search engine and hassle-free customer experience. By maintaining a sustainable, goal-driven application development process and remaining focused on recruiting, leading, and mentoring a highly motivated team, Eugene has played a pivotal role in managing hundreds of thousands of SKUs on the back end and ultimately connecting customers with the exact parts they need on the front end.

Eugene holds a BS in Computer Science from California State University, Los Angeles, and MDP certification in Management from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.

Eugene was born in Russia and emigrated with his family from Ukraine to the U.S. when he was 8. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife of 15 years and loves spending time hiking as well as swimming at the beach with their kids, Maksim and Bella. He drives a Tesla.
