Andy Baio is the creator of Skittish, a playful space for virtual events, and the co-founder of XOXO, an experimental festival and conference celebrating independent art and technology, held in Portland, Oregon. He helped build Kickstarter, produced an album called Kind of Bloop, and built Upcoming.org, a collaborative event calendar. Original reporting on his blog, Waxy.org, has been featured in the New York Times, Wired, and NPR.

Introducing Skittish: A Playful Space for Virtual Events

Andy Baio offers reflections on a 20 year career in creative technology, including lessons learned as a festival organizer, developer, and writer. He'll share the story of his most recent creation, Skittish, and how recent circumstances highlighted the need for safe, playful community spaces that allow for organic human connection.
