New Relic’s {Future}Stack Twitter Contest
Official Rules

New Relic, Inc. (“New Relic”) invites all eligible participants to enter New Relic’s {Future}Stack Twitter Contest (the “Contest”) which will be held from Wednesday, September 13, 2017 through Thursday, September 14, 2017 (the “Contest Period”). Participants may be eligible to win the prizes detailed below.

How to Enter:

New Relic will be hosting two (2) contests during the Contest Period, on the dates and times set forth below.

Contest #1
Opens Wednesday, September 13th, 2017 when announced by New Relic on-stage at {Future}Stack New York and via New Relic’s official Twitter account (@NewRelic), and closes Wednesday, September 13th, 2017 when announced by New Relic on-stage at {Future}Stack New York and via New Relic’s official Twitter account.

Contest #2
Opens Thursday, September 14th, 2017 at when announced by New Relic on-stage at {Future}Stack New York and via New Relic’s official Twitter account and closes Thursday, September 14th, 2017 when announced by New Relic on-stage and via New Relic’s official Twitter account.

To enter either Contest, participants must (1) be a physical attendee at New York Future Stack on the day of the applicable Contest, and present for the panels at which the Contest theme and winner is announced, and (2) be a registered member of Twitter with an active account in good standing. To become a member of Twitter, go to www.twitter.com and follow the instructions to create an account. Beginning when announced by New Relic on Wednesday, September 13th, 2017, and on Thursday, September 14th, 2017, New Relic invites participants to tweet using the #futurestack hashtag, according to the theme that is tweeted and announced on-stage at {Future}Stack. Participants must tweet the full message from their own personal Twitter account to be entered into the Contest. Entries will be accepted until the Contest Period closes.

Participants may enter as many times as they wish for the duration of the Contest Period. A participant’s entry into the Contest constitutes acceptance of these Official Rules.

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY TO ENTER THIS CONTEST.

Selection of Winners:
The participant with the most combined retweets and replies on a single tweet shall win each Contest. One (1) winner shall be determined and announced during the final FutureStack panel for each Contest day. The winning participant will be notified by at-mentioning their Twitter handle and must be physically present at the panel to accept their prize, otherwise they forfeit their prize and it will be awarded to the next runner-up.

In the unlikely event of a tie, New Relic shall review the two entries with the highest retweets and replies, and determine which entry has the highest number of favorites. All ties will be reviewed and decided at New Relic’s sole discretion.

Participants’ odds of receiving the prize shall vary depending on the number of eligible entries.

Prizes: One (1) winner of Contest #1 will receive two (2) tickets to a first round MLB playoff game of New Relic’s choice, valued at approximately USD $400.00 (Travel and accommodations are not included). Upon signing an eligibility affidavit and waiver, the winner shall be mailed the prize once MLB makes the tickets available to New Relic. One (1) winner of Contest #2 will receive a Game of Thrones themed umbrella, valued at approximately USD $30.00. Upon signing an eligibility affidavit and waiver, the winner shall be handed the prize.

Who Can Enter:
The Contest is strictly limited to permanent, legal United States residents who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. Participants are solely responsible for ensuring their participation in the Contest is lawful. New Relic employees are not eligible to participate in the Contest. New Relic reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify participants for any reason, including if it is determined that one’s participation in the Contest is not lawful.

Release:
All participants in the Contest release New Relic, Inc. and its respective employees, officers, directors and shareholders (“Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action including, but not limited to personal injury, death, damage to property or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Contest or use of the prize awarded from the Contest. The winner of the Contest acknowledges that they are responsible for registering any unmanned aircraft systems in compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines. New Relic is hereby released from any claims of action relating to registration requirements connected to unmanned aircraft systems like the one identified in the prize section above.

Limitation of Liability:
Released Parties are not responsible for any claims, damages, expenses, costs or losses to any person or property of any kind arising from or in connection with: (1) typographical or other errors in the printing of these Official Rules; (2) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions or disconnections in phone lines hardware, software, or failure of any email or entries to be received by New Relic due to technical problems, human error or traffic congestion, unavailable network connections on the Internet or any website; (3) unauthorized third party tampering with the Contest; (4) technical or human error in the administration of the prizes; or (5) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen mail.

General:
Any entries generated by a script, computer program, robotic or other automatic means will also be disqualified. Before claiming their prize, the winner must execute an affidavit and release which verifies their eligibility, allows for them to be announced publicly as a winner of the Contest and acknowledges: (i) their responsibility for any federal, state and local taxes incurred in connection with the prize awarded; (ii) responsibility for all applicable registration requirements in connection with the prize awarded and (iii) that New Relic will not be liable for any injuries caused while operating prize awarded from the Contest. The affidavit and release form shall require the winner’s full name, address and Social Security Number to accurately report the winnings to the IRS. Failure to completely fill out the form will result in forfeiture of the prize detailed above and another winner may be selected.

The Contest is governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California and the forum and venue for any dispute shall be San Francisco, California.

Participants acknowledge that any contact information collected during the Contest Period will be used for marketing and other internal purposes. New Relic reserves the right to terminate this Contest for any or no reason and at any time without further notice.
