{Future}Stack16 SF Twitter Scavenger Hunt Official Rules

New Relic will be sponsoring a {Future}Stack16 Scavenger Hunt (the “Scavenger Hunt”) November 16-17, 2016 (the “Contest Period”) at {Future}Stack16 and all eligible participants are invited to participate. The Scavenger Hunt will be held during New Relic’s annual user conference {Future}Stack16, located at Pier 27 in San Francisco, CA. Participants who compete in the Scavenger Hunt may be eligible to win the prizes detailed below.

Beginning on Wednesday, November 16th at 8:00am PST, New Relic will tweet a photo of ten (10) challenges to be completed during the Scavenger Hunt from its official Twitter Handle (@newrelic). Each challenge will require participants to tweet a photo of the required item listed on the Scavenger Hunt list along with the hashtag #FS16Contest. The Scavenger Hunt will close at 4:00pm PST on Thursday, November 17th. Entry into the Scavenger Hunt is limited to one participant per set of challenges. A participant’s entry into the Scavenger Hunt constitutes acceptance of these Official Rules.

To participate in the Scavenger Hunt, participants must be a registered member of Twitter with an active account in good standing. To become a member of Twitter, go to www.twitter.com and follow the instructions to create an account.


Notification of Winners:
The first two eligible participants to complete the full list of challenges by the end of the Contest Period shall be deemed the winners of the Scavenger Hunt. On November 17, at 4:30pm PST, the two winners will be announced publicly on stage in the Keynote Room at {Future}Stack16. The winners will also be publicly broadcast on Twitter following the announcement at {Future}Stack16. Participants must be physically present for the winner notification at {Future}Stack16 or shall risk prize forfeiture.

Prize: Two (2) winners shall receive the following prize:
One (1) Aries BlackBird X10 Drone Quadcopter with built in 16MP Still/Cine Camera valued at approximately USD $350.00.

Who Can Enter:
The Scavenger Hunt is strictly limited to permanent, legal United States residents who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. Participants are solely responsible for ensuring their participation in the Scavenger Hunt is lawful. New Relic employees are not eligible to participate in the Scavenger Hunt. New Relic reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify participants for any reason, including if it is determined that one’s participation in the Scavenger Hunt is not lawful.

All participants in the Scavenger Hunt release New Relic, Inc. and its respective employees, officers, directors and shareholders (“Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action including, but not limited to personal injury, death, damage to property or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Scavenger Hunt or use of the prizes awarded from the Scavenger Hunt. The winners of the Scavenger Hunt acknowledge that they are responsible for registering any unmanned aircraft systems in compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines. New Relic is hereby released from any claims of action relating to registration requirements connected to unmanned aircraft systems like the one identified in the prize section above.

Limitation of Liability:
Released Parties are not responsible for any claims, damages, expenses, costs or losses to any person or property of any kind arising from or in connection with: (1) typographical or other errors in the printing of these Official Rules; (2) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions or disconnections in phone lines hardware, software, or failure of any entries to be received by New Relic due to technical problems, human error or traffic congestion, unavailable network connections on the Internet or any website; (3) unauthorized third party tampering with the Scavenger Hunt or (4) technical or human error in the administration of the prizes.

Before claiming their prize, the winners must execute an affidavit and waiver which verifies their eligibility, allows for them to be announced publicly as a winner of the Scavenger Hunt and acknowledges: (i) their responsibility for any federal, state and local taxes incurred in connection with the prize awarded (ii) responsibility for all applicable registration requirements in connection with the prize awarded and (iii) that New Relic will not be liable for any injuries caused while operating prizes awarded from the Scavenger Hunt. The affidavit shall require the winner’s full name, address and Social Security Number to accurately report the winnings to the IRS. Failure to completely fill out the affidavit will result in forfeiture of the prizes detailed above and another winner(s) may be selected.

The Scavenger Hunt is governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California and the forum and venue for any dispute shall be San Francisco, California.

Participant acknowledges that any contact information collected during the Contest Period will be used for marketing and other internal purposes. New Relic reserves the right to terminate this Scavenger Hunt for any or no reason and at any time without further notice.
