New Relic Delivers Comprehensive Monitoring Strategies for AWS Customers Including MLBAM

Leading Software Analytics Platform Helps Customers Make the Move to AWS

San Francisco - May 31, 2016

Software analytics leader New Relic, Inc. (NYSE: NEWR) announced today that thousands of companies, including NY-based tech company MLBAM, are using the New Relic Software Analytics Cloud for a variety of cloud initiatives with Amazon Web Services (AWS). New Relic is showcasing this relationship with AWS by educating customers and prospective customers about best practices for monitoring their cloud-based applications at the following events:

● Participation in more than 15 2016 AWS Global Summit Series events in cities such as Sydney, Tokyo, London and Washington, D.C.; and
● Over 12 hands-on workshops, surrounding AWS Summit events around the world, to provide AWS customers best practices, trainings and one-on-one consultations.

More than half of New Relic’s customers report data from an AWS environment through application and server monitoring, making New Relic a leading monitoring vendor for cloud-based applications. With New Relic, companies are able to better understand behaviors of AWS, code running in AWS, trends in digital experiences and the business outcomes of those experiences.

“The combination of AWS and New Relic is critical for MLBAM as we move quickly to spin up and optimize new apps,” said Joe Inzerillo, EVP, CTO for MLBAM. "We are in the business of creating and delivering the best digital experiences for baseball fans and these cloud technologies allow us to get the performance data we need, scale smoothly, and understand how new features resonate with fans."

According to a January 2016 report by IDC1, worldwide spending on public cloud services will grow at a 19.4 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) – almost six times the rate of overall IT spending growth – from nearly $70 billion in 2015 to more than $141 billion in 2019.

New Relic helps companies of all sizes and geographies to monitor their entire application infrastructures, whether they are migrating to AWS, in hybrid architectures or all-in with AWS. This comprehensive monitoring approach enables greater sharing of information and delivers consistency across developers and IT operations teams. Additionally, because New Relic is cloud-based and architected to process large analytic data sets, customers are able to take advantage of the dynamic nature of AWS with visibility into application performance and inform how to best allocate resources.

The AWS Summit Series offers New Relic an opportunity to further engage and educate thousands of companies that use AWS on how the New Relic Software Analytics Cloud can help them understand the health of their applications and ensure further success of their cloud initiatives.

“We are thrilled to join the AWS Global Summit Series events to showcase how New Relic’s technology helps customers move workloads to AWS,” said Hilarie Koplow-McAdams, President, New Relic. “As organizations undergo cloud migration, visibility into application health becomes more and more critical, and New Relic provides a complete way to manage the performance of cloud and hybrid workloads on AWS.”
